Why do we love our blue jeans so much? This is not so difficult to understand. Jeans are comfortable, they last longer, they are not terribly expensive and they are fashionable. You can wear them for dress or casual gatherings of business, for lounging around watching television, or for working in the office or in the garden. You can even wear them for the appearance of your next guest on the show Jay Leno. As the saying goes, you can live in your jeans.

Who created jeans?

There is no one "inventor" of jeans. Believe it or not, they have evolved over a long period of more than 400 years. They started as a flexible and sturdy trousers worn by sailors and transformed into the uniform every day now worn by millions of people around the world.

Jeans are made of denim is a fabric woven of cotton sustainable uses the most. It became known as "serge Nimes, who finally opted for "de Nîmes" and anglicized to "denim".

This distinctive denim pants becamed known as "jeans" because of their connection to the port of Genoa in Italy. In the 17th and 18th Genoa was an important naval base and their navy was equipped with uniform blue denim. They were called "jeans" because the French word for Genoa "gene" and the pants be confused with the marine sponge. The durable denim garments were ideal for sailors who mostly live in their clothes 24 hours daily. The jeans were ideal for any environment and can be cleaned by dragging behind the vessel in a fishing net.
