What causes itchy red bumps or long clothing meet body?

I just moved into a new place and slept on an air mattress on the floor. My clothes were living in a suitcase on the floor for a while too. In the evening or the next morning, I see a raised long (1-1.5in) itchy bump along the lines of clothing (trousers belt, the edges of underwear). They are long and thin and look a bit like mosquito bites. What's causing them? Do they live in my new home? and if so, how do I get rid of them, whatever it be? I recently became furniture if the clothes have been transferred to drawers instead of the bag on the floor. I hope have not uploaded anything in the drawers as well. The clothes are old (worn several times before), so I'm not allergic to the garment itself, or detergent. I looked at pictures of bedbugs bites on the Internet, they look like circles, no long thin lines. I never had bugs before, can they look like thin lines? Sweat is something that happened before, what is new.

Are you a resident of the East Coast or the South? You are describing "classy". I heard to get them inside before, but have little experience with them (except a very itchy one) since I live on the West Coast. : Http: / / pediatrics.about.com/od/dermatologytopics/a/06_chiggers.htm http://www.howstuffworks.com/question488.htm Links do its best to keep the site clean and use a topical antihistamine for itching. I would not really be of any help if I did not at least offer a fix, I know boric acid can dehumidify carpet in areas where ticks. I'm sure a pest control expert in your area should have a solution.
