What software will allow me to easily design and animate characters?

What is a free software for Mac that can easily generate a 3D human figure that I can design and clothing to animate? What is a free program for Mac that can easily generate a 3D human figure that I can draw and animate clothing? I already tried Daz3d. It is too restrictive and I can not design clothes I want.

It's actually a rather complex problem. Daz 3D is limited, but it is always much easier than most of the real " 3D there. You can do whatever you want with Blender http://www.blender.org However, if you do not have the patience to learn Daz, Blender will not fun for you. It's free, and almost as easy as going to 3D modeling, but it's still not easy. There is much to learn. You can use MakeHuman to produce very nice human figures which you can then import into a blender and holding, but these figures are without clothes. You must make your own. However, it is ideal for the creation of a human figure with many options. He has the ability to ask, but you'll probably better to pose in Blender. http://www.makehuman.org/blog/index.php build a 3D model requires knowledge of the subdivision surface techniques (Or similar techniques, such as NURBS.) It also requires an understanding of lighting, texturing and rigging frame. Add Clothes involves the creation of models of clothes and then apply the cloth modifier to it.
